“True prayers that receive answers are directed to Him alone, and those they call upon deities other than Him, they cannot answer a thing [anyhow]. It is similar to someone who stretches out his hands to the water to reach his mouth to drink, but this way the hands never reach the mouth. And thus futile are the prayers of those who deny the truth.” (Quran 13:14)
